It's so true.
That being said, I'm not that deep a person to pull out Patrick Dennnis quotes off the top of my head. Honestly, I got it from John Laroquette's Twitter. I didn't even know who Patrick Dennis was..I had to look him up. The quote however was fantastic and certainly applied..
I like quotes. I encounter one I like and I keep them in a notebook for future reference and use. It would be handy if I was incredibly anal and catalogued them by subject instead of having them be just hodge-podge entries at the top of a page. Most of these quotes just disappear from memory, coming back from the dead when I'm bored and take a peek through some old writing..so I suppose they serve as an entertaining nostalgia of myself, a flourish to my thoughts of then. So really, not much purpose at all..but this doesn't stop me from writing them down. I'm not good at remembering quotes and I'm not good at remembering jokes but I think I aspire to be good at them both one day. I'd love to be someone who could rattle off a deep quote for any occasion..and no, it doesn't matter if you got it from John Laroquette's Twitter..you have it and you know what it means and you aren't afraid to use it.
Also-clean pieces of paper in empty notebooks are..terrifying. And I'm at the terrified, clean pieces of paper stage right now..working on Episode 6. Carrie Humphries did a fantastic interview with me in the August 6th issue of Echo Magazine..hey, it' still up online at http://www.echoweekly.com/viewstory.php?storyid=7973&page=2 if you haven't checked it out..so I figured it might be good for people who had read that interview and wanted to listen to the show on the radio that we give them a chance to hear Episode 1 again on August 12th. And y'all didn't mind, with Episode 5 being such a cliff hanger, right?
Of course what this really all means is..I was moving and hadn't gotten a chance to get to Episode 6 yet. ;)
