Estelle Weir, head of sales for OPC, a television commercial production company, on how commercials differ from place to place..

"My family is from upstate New York. In middle America, it's all about driving footage and Sale Sale Sale. It's very basic. Canada is very much about two-person dialogue. It's much more subtle here. When it comes to big visuals, Scandinavian directors are very much into that. And then the British have their comedy. It's always fascinating to watch what another director did with a commercial that we didn't get to do. "
